70’s style illustrated posters to celebrate Stewmac’s 1968 Heritage

Stewmac, a leader in guitar parts and accessories since 1968 wanted to create a special line of merchandise to celebrate their retro beginnings. I was very excited for the task. I love some of the wild illustrations and color palettes from the era.

I was inspired by some of the organic elements found on the necks of banjos and guitars and turned some of those shapes into the colorful flower pieces you can see around the instruments. The typography is fun and quirky and very 70’s and the color palette uses super bright and fun retro colors as well. 

These designs were used on guitar picks, socks, hoodies, T-shirts and posters.
